Sony Memory Stick PRO-HG Duo HX 8 GB with supplied USB adaptor
excellent 8 GB Memory Stick pro duoReviewed by Jeffroar, 2010-03-04
Lots of room on this card. Came with its own card reader. Both work great. My only complaint is that these memory sticks are over-priced so I will make sure that my next camera will be able to use an SD card (which I believe some of the newer Sony cameras will accommodate). But compared to other Memory Stick pro duo cards, this is a good value.
Sony ChipReviewed by Joseph G. Larkin, 2010-02-14
The chip and the USB reader that comes with it both look good and work well. Interlocked so you can't put it in backwards. My first multiGB card. I was quite surprised after a weekend of taking pictures and I still had room for 1200 more images.
A necessity for some camerasReviewed by Rich, 2010-02-08
I bought the PRO-HG Duo card to go with my Sony H20/B camera. It handles 720p video without a problem. The "HG" cards are more expensive than the "non-HG" cards, but cost difference is more than justified by the performance difference in my camera.
Good Memory CardReviewed by Jason Cox, 2010-01-30
This is a great solid memory stick. I own a Mark 2 memory stick and decided to go with this one for my second. I really like the USB memory stick adapter that is included. It's small and the smaller the better. Overall, I wanted to know the difference between the Mark 2 and the HG. Here is what I think. I have not noticed any difference in speed using this HG over the Mark 2 when used alone. However, when you use the USB adapter with the HG the speed increase is extremely noticeable. I'm not sure about any speed increases when used alone with newer products that take these memory sticks such as their HD cameras as I don't own one. So, I can't comment on that. Overall, if the price is right I will spend the extra few bucks to get the HG. However, as of this I have learned that Sony is supposed to be coming out with their own SD memory stick shortly which I will wait for before buying another one cause I want the write protect switch that those cards are made with. That has to be the only thing I don't care about with the memory stick duo cards (no write protect switch). The products I have used these memory sticks in so far are a Sony PSP, A Sony digital camera (point and shoot type), Playstation 3 (launch version) and a Sony VAIO laptop. Obviously I am a Sony fan in case you missed it so I am a little biased. If you need one of these memory cards I would highly recommend it. However, if you have the money to burn I would go with the 16GB capacity as the price seems more reasonable now.
Take Your Pictures AnywhereReviewed by Jerry S., 2010-01-10
I think a memory stick is a memory stick. But the USB Reader makes this worth the price. I can take my pics anywhere without having to take my camera and cords. Just plug the reader into any USB port and view pictures instantly.
